Fun and relaxed!
I’ve known Rhys for a while, but this was my first time having a snowboard session with him, and it didn’t disappoint.
We spent the day riding the whole mountain, but my highlight was the park, where we spent some time hiking a box where I worked on my 50:50, and Rhys gave me some really helpful tips on my approach, plus some drills to try on the piste to build my confidence. He also suggested some progressions to practice on the box, before moving to new tricks. It’s honestly one of the few times I’ve felt comfortable in the park.
The whole day was fun and relaxed, and Rhys explained things in a way that just clicked for me.
I would highly recommend Rhys, and hope to book some more sessions with him in the future.
Instructor Training Made Fun
I’ve been training with Rhys on and off for about two years, and I can honestly say it’s been a game-changer for my snowboarding journey. I originally reached out to Rhys for help preparing for my final BASI Level 3 teaching exam, and his coaching style immediately stood out.
Rhys has a real knack for making learning enjoyable while still providing clear, honest feedback that helps you progress. His infectious personality and positive energy always keep the stoke level high, no matter how challenging the session gets. He breaks down complex techniques in a way that’s easy to understand, and his encouragement genuinely boosts your confidence.
If you’re looking for an instructor who’s both knowledgeable and passionate—and who makes every session fun—I highly recommend training with Rhys.
Rhys makes learning so fun!
A day brushing up my snowboarding technique with Rhys ended up being one of the most fun days of my holiday. I learned how to carve and I had a great day on the mountain. Thanks Rhys!
